This podcast was started in 2017. The purpose:
- I wanted to learn about options for traditional practice, and
- I wanted to share what I learned with “seeking physicians.”
As time went on, I expanded my interests to new ways to practice… telemedicine, locum tenens, concierge medicine, DPC/membership models, and ways to enhance income diversification. Many of the options I’ve presented recently didn’t exist as options 5 to 10 years ago. And some that were commonplace have disappeared as technology advanced.
Personal Request
I’d like to gauge where you, my listeners, are. So I have this request… Please take a minute and send me a brief email with your answers to 2 questions to john.jurica.md@gmail.com. Here are the questions:
- What do you like best about the PNC Podcast?
- What would you like to see and hear MORE of in terms of content, or type of guest, or even a specific guest’s name?
Review and Amazing Deal
To assist my listeners, I began developing a series of video lectures and presentations that have been posted on the Nonclinical Career Academy. They were designed to be purchased individually, based on your personal needs and interests. Later, I bundled some of those into single-topic courses. Similarly, I created several introductory videos for starting your new career journey, and those have also been bundled into a single course.
In 2024 and 2025, I recorded Q&A sessions in which I answered very specific questions on career transition. I posted 75 answers to those questions as a single course.
And Tom Davis and I hosted Nonclinical Summits with expert lecturers in April of 2024 and 2025. So, I added the most popular lectures with Q&A to the Academy. And I revamped the whole Academy recently, reducing prices in the process.
Summary
Here is my offer to you. You can access any single course, or bundle of presentations on topics such as getting started on your career journey, pursuing hospital management, or becoming a medical science liaison. And using the Coupon Code 15PERCENTOFF, you can get an even better price.
Here is an even better offer: purchase access to everything, forever (even new content in the future) by joining the Memberclub for the best overall price, PLUS the temporary 15% better price, also using the 15PERCENTOFF Coupon Code at checkout!

Podcast Review and Amazing Deal on Unconventional Career Instruction
John: You're listening to Physician Nonclinical Careers with John Jurica, episode number 439. Podcast review an amazing deal on unconventional career instruction. Welcome back nonclinical nation.
Today's episode is a little bit different than usual. I'm going to take a pause, think about the future of this podcast, ask you some questions and update you on what I've been doing with the Nonclinical Career Academy and the Member Club, which I'll describe what that is if you're not aware. Before we get to that though, I have two important messages.
The first is the one from our sponsor. If you're a physician with at least five years experience looking for a flexible nonclinical part-time medical legal consulting role, then Dr. Armin Feldman's Medical Legal Coaching Program will guarantee to add $100,000 in additional income within 12 months without doing any expert witness work. That's $100,000.
Any doctor in any specialty can do the work. If you don't reach that number, he'll work with you for free until you do. That's guaranteed. So how can he make such a bold claim? It's simple. He gets results.
Dr. David exceeded his clinical income without sacrificing time in his full-time position. Dr. Anke retired from her practice while generating the same monthly consulting income, and Dr. Elliott added meaningful consulting work without lowering his clinical income or job satisfaction. So if you're a physician with five or more years of experience and you want to find out exactly how to add $100,000 in additional consulting income in just 12 months, go to ArminFeldman.com.
Again, that's ArminFeldman.com, ArminFeldman.com. Did you know that you too can sponsor the Physician Nonclinical Careers podcast? As a sponsor, you'll reach thousands of physicians to sell your products and services or to build your following.
Your message will be heard on the podcast and seen on our website, in our newsletter, and on social media posts. It's amazing how a direct invitation to thousands of physicians on this podcast can identify listeners eager to try your products or services. To learn more, go to nonclinicalphysicians.com/sponsorships, or just set up a short call to learn more about sponsorships at nonclinicalphysicians.com/zoomcall. That's all one word, Z-O-O-M-C-A-L-L, nonclinicalphysicians.com/zoomcall. That'll take you to a page where you can actually click and set that up. Now, the terms of this are that we can offer a complimentary two week pilot for select partners that we believe will be a good fit for our physician audience.
And then if that works out, then there's some other caveats. But if that describes your business and set up a call at nonclinicalphysicians.com/zoomcall. Okay, let's get started with today's relatively short presentation.
It'll be shorter than most episodes, I think. I don't know for sure when I'm starting this up if I'm going to blather on or not, but I'm going to try and keep it short. My intention is to explain how this podcast started and how my goals have evolved over time and to solicit some feedback from you, describe the resources I've developed for you and others interested in this field over the past two years that you may not know about, and then close with some thoughts on the future of the podcast. Maybe I'll get that over with right now. I'm always looking at whether I'm going to continue to do this. I've been doing this for eight years, and I've covered a lot of content.
Things have shifted a little bit as things have changed and new things have come out. And I've been focusing more on income generation and side jobs and business ownership and cash based practices and so forth. So it's a little different from when I started at the beginning.
Remember, looking back, initially, my purpose was I wanted to learn about non-traditional careers for physicians. I wanted to share what I learned with seeking physicians, we sometimes call them. And that's why I started the podcast.
But as time went on, I expanded my interest to new ways to practice like telemedicine, locum tenens, concierge medicine, DPC membership model type of practice, which is really just I've focused on just in the last year or two, and income diversification, including things like real estate and so forth. And lately, I've shifted from interviewing physicians doing traditional nonclinical entry level employment options like UM, medical director, medical science liaison, or hospital medical director, to other more lucrative options, such as hospital CMO, or business owner of a med spa infusion lounge, or maybe a franchisee with a large national company. So there are other things that physicians can do.
And again, my interests have evolved. And I think it has mirrored, hopefully my audience. In fact, many of the options I recently presented didn't exist five to 10 years ago. And some of them that were pretty commonplace in the past have almost disappeared as technology has advanced. So things have definitely been changing. And as I went along the way, I created, well, I created some things based on what I was learning about this topic.
And so I shared some things. Let's see. And I want to get into that in a little bit, a little more detail in a minute. But anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I developed some free and paid resources along the way, too, to help you navigate the world of alternative side hustles and careers. And I'm going to also describe those in a minute. But I do want to pause here, as I said, to ask you for a favor.
I like to gauge where you, my listeners, are. So I have this real simple request. I know it's going to take a little effort. Hopefully, some of you will take me up on this. But I want you to take a minute and send me a brief email with your answers to, I think, just two questions. The email is john.jurica.md at gmail.com, john.jurica.md@gmail.com.
Here are the two questions. First of all, what do you like best about the PNC podcast? I know I have listeners. You know, I check the numbers every week, month, and year. I kind of look at how things are trending.
I just want to know what you like best, because then I can do more of that and be as specific or as general as you like. And then the second question, kind of follow up, obvious. What would you like to see or hear more of in terms of the content or the type of guest, or even if you like, you can suggest a specific guest.
But really, I just want to know, what kind of content are you looking forward to in the near term and maybe even the midterm six to 12 months down the road? Because I know these things change and your interests change. Again, send that to johnjuricamd@gmail.com. You can put whatever subject you want in there. It doesn't matter. It should be obvious to me when you're answering these questions.
Now, I want to spend a few minutes reminding you about what I've created over the last years based on what I've learned and interacting and using some of the expertise of some of my guests in the past, just so you're aware of that and then offer you a deal at the end if you want to take advantage of it. Because there's been some changes in the last year or so that you might not be aware of. These are things I put together to help accelerate your learning process on these topics.
I started by developing a series of video lectures and presentations that have been posted to the nonclinical career academy that can be purchased individually based on your needs and interests. For example, I started with several individual presentations on pursuing a hospital management career. Later, I bundled those into a single course.
Similarly, I have introductory videos for starting your new career journey general topics, how to get started, how to do a resume, how to prepare for interviews and things like that. And those have been bundled into a single course. Also, overcoming the five myths that affect most people are starting to consider this.
Some of the individual courses also present an interview with an expert in a specific area of interest who have a lot more knowledge in that area than I do. So, examples in there include interviews with Dr. Mike Wu Ming on cash-based businesses, Charlotte Weeks on the issue of resume writing, and Dr. Andrew Willner on locum tenens. Now, another thing that's a little more recent is 1924, no, not 1924, 2024, I started to record Q&A sessions in which I answered specific questions about career transition or any of the topics that have shown up on my podcast.
And so, I began to read these and answer them online. I did invite people to attend, and those Q&A sessions I recorded, and now I have a list of 75 such Q&A sessions, and they've all been posted to, again, the Nonclinical Career Academy in the Q&A, what is it called? I've got it here, Weekly Q&A 2023 and 24.
Okay, so it was '23 and '24 and '25, not just 24 and 25. I think they went into the beginning of 25 as well. Anyway, let me just give you some of the topics that we hit on during that time.
Remote part-time jobs, interview tips, unique jobs like collaborating physician, using recruiters, preparing to shift careers, the most lucrative jobs around. I listed some jobs where physicians could easily generate up to 500,000 or more per year. And this was being the owner of a large business or something.
These are actual specific jobs like CMO roles. Questions about should I set up my LLC? Should I use an attorney? When should I use an attorney? What do I do if I've been reported to the National Practitioner Data Bank, and we came up with some specific strategies to use to be able to get a job or even be hired somewhere, even if you have a data bank listing, and questions about DPC and so forth. So there were a number of those, and there's 75.
And again, it's part of the nonclinical career academy that you might not be aware of that. And those can be pretty interesting because they're very specific. And I probably wouldn't devote a complete podcast episode or interview to that.
Now, getting back to the spring of 2024 and 2025. Yes, that is different from the Q&A. The Q&A's were started, I think, in 2024 and went through 25. In the spring of 2024 and 25, my colleague, Dr. Tom Davis, and I hosted the nonclinical career summits. Each had a dozen speakers on timely topics related to career transition. So I took the 19 best and most popular lectures, and I added them to the mix of the nonclinical career academy about two months ago.
And I didn't promote them really, except I mentioned them on the podcast. And here are some of those topics that are really pretty pertinent and will be for years to come. Expert witness consulting, locum tenens, telehealth, cash-only businesses, infusion lounge, how to get that started and going.
And that has been crazy successful in a couple of my guests that are on my podcast recently. Starting and running a med spa, even selling a med spa, medical, legal, pre-trial consulting, of course. I have a one-hour lecture on that.
Obviously, it's from our sponsor. Remote UM careers, many of which can produce over $200,000 a year in income and MSL jobs and other biopharma jobs. And it goes on and on. These are very high quality presentations from experts in those areas, and you can just get so much information. So everything I currently offer along these lines can be found at the nonclinical career academy. And I make it easy and affordable to access.
And I've done things in various ways as I added these individual courses and then bundled them together. But anyway, for now, I've simplified it for everybody. You can purchase any single item, including a single lecture of many of them, or a single bundle of four to nine lectures or courses. Or you can buy the 19 nonclinical career summit lectures, any of those things, a la carte. Now, you can't get the individual lectures. Those nine lectures are one course, so to speak.
But you can get any of those and pick and choose and go back. If you want to add more later, you can do that. And it's very reasonable. The prices are not high at all. Or you can purchase membership in the member club. You know, what does that mean?
So that means you have access to everything, whenever you want, forever, including all current and future content. Because once you're in the member club, you get it. So the people that were in the member club last year, beginning of this year, well, last year, 2025, beginning of last year.
When I added the 19 lectures as a single, quote, course, they had access to that immediately. They didn't have to pay any additional. And some of those member club members are on a monthly membership, very low fee.
But most of them paid a single fee for lifetime membership. So as things are added, they get a notice. It says you've got some new stuff here. If you want to look at it, it's there for your enjoyment. I can't give you the specific prices, like for all the individual courses and so forth. In fact, I'm in the process of repricing all the content.
Usually when I do that, the price is going down because when it's new, it tends to be higher priced. It's been a little while. So I tend to pull the prices down, make it more accessible to all of you, my listeners and others.
I'm doing that now. I'm repricing everything. So I can't give you the specific details about the actual price that I'm going to be, that you'll find if you go in a week from now after this is recorded and check it out.
However, what I'm going to do is provide a common coupon code to those who listen to the podcast for each option. So the code is 15% off. It's 15PERCENTOFF. I don't think it matters if they're uppercase or lowercase, but if you do 15% off, one word, all caps, 15% off, you'll get 15% off any of the individual a la carte selections that you may make, but you'll also get 15% off the member club. Now that's especially good because the member club is already discounted. If you took all the individual a la carte content, added up the prices, the member club is already significantly lower than that.
You might say, well, no one would use everything, but the thing is some people go through almost everything. And so if they join and that's the reason they did join the member club was they get a huge discount on buying a piecemeal, just like in anything. You know, you, when you go out and buy any product, a lot of times the more you buy, the lower the cost is.
You can still use that code 15% off all caps, one word, and get 15% off the member club option, which already gives you that discount. And the other thing that's nice about that is that you will get two hours of coaching with me that can be broken up any way you like. You know, 15 minute, 30 minute, one hour slots, whatever, for two, up to two hours over as long as you want.
You just have to figure out an appropriate time when we can meet. So that's, what's going on there. I wanted you to know about that and do part of my episode discussing that, explaining that I'm simplifying things.
I'm condensing things and making it easier and providing more value to some extent, including the access to me for two hours, if you join the member club. So again, just to kind of go over things, I didn't go in details about each of the things that are posted in there. You should go and look at it, which you can do at nonclinicalcareeracademy.com.
And in the meantime, if you would send me a note at john.jurica.md@gmail.com with answering the questions: what do you like best about the PNC podcast? and what would you like to see and hear more of in terms of content or type of guest or even a specific guest name?
It's one, again, a review, use that coupon code for 15% off at nonclinicalcareeracademy.com to purchase any combination of lectures, interviews, and or join the member club again for that same discount to get access to everything, including new content in the future and two hours of coaching with me. And basically that's what I wanted to tell you today. So that's it for today's presentation. You can find links in the transcript of today's interview in the show notes at nonclinicalphysicians.com/review and amazing deal. Again, that's nonclinicalphysicians.com review and amazing deal hyphenated. And that's it for today's show. Please join me next Tuesday morning for another episode of physician nonclinical careers.
